When the clock struck midnight, most of the city slept.

But for Neezy II, it was the hour when silence spoke the loudest, and out of that silence came a song that refuses to be ignored.

The award-winning artist has officially announced the release of his new single, Fine By Me, on May 15, a date that carries both strategic weight and emotional gravity.

The release follows a deeply personal journey rooted in grief, resilience, and the relentless pursuit of recognition in an industry that often looks the other way.

Originally intended for release on 10 May, the track’s delay was due to technical difficulties, yet the meaning behind the song remained untouched.

For Neezy II, the music was never just about timing, it was about survival.

“I wrote this song when I was at my lowest. Losing my mother was a gut punch, but it also reminded me why I create,” he said.

“I was writing about survival — about being found, even when everyone else gives up on you.”

The result is Fine By Me, a haunting, emotionally charged record that captures the reality of upcoming artists facing rejection and self-doubt.

In its verses, Neezy II confronts promoters who don’t respond, venues that don’t book, and the feeling of shouting into a void.

Yet beneath the frustration lies defiance, not surrender.

“It is a reminder that even in the darkest hours, art can be both weapon and solace,” said Neezy II.

Across its soundscape,  Fine By Me pulses with raw vulnerability and sharpened ambition, a confession and a challenge.

Neezy II hints at more music to come, but for now, his message is clear: He is not waiting for permission. He is creating anyway.
