CONSTRUCTION works at Sinotsi Clinic in Bulilima Constituency are gathering momentum as community members intensify efforts to complete the health facility through a coordinated, community-driven approach.

Legislators Dingumuzi Phuti and Evelyn Ndlovu joined villagers last week in hands-on construction activities under the amalima initiative, a model that has become central to accelerating infrastructure development in Bulilima Constituency.

Villagers turned out in large numbers, contributing labour, mobilising locally available materials, and organising food supplies to sustain the workforce, ensuring steady progress at the site.

“We have been sent to work with communities and ensure that development reaches everyone. Rural communities must also enjoy quality infrastructure and services,” Ndlovu said.

Phuti commended the Sinotsi community for prioritising construction works and embracing self-help development initiatives.

“This spirit of unity and collective responsibility is what builds strong communities. We will continue supporting this clinic project until it is completed,” he said.

The legislators also played an active role in transporting construction materials, including sand and water, to the site.

“I will continue bringing cement and other much-needed materials to ensure that this clinic is completed so that the people here can access better health services,” Phuti added.

The construction programme is being spearheaded by the local community under the guidance of traditional leaders, with strong coordination ensuring that each phase of the project is steadily progressing.

The amalima initiative has strengthened community ownership, with residents taking responsibility for delivering critical infrastructure that directly improves their livelihoods.

Residents expressed appreciation for the direct involvement of their leaders, noting that their participation has boosted morale and inspired wider community engagement.
