CHICKEN Inn coach Tonderai Ndiraya has vowed his side will recover from their recent setbacks following back-to-back derby defeats.
Ndiraya’s team suffered a 3-1 loss to Highlanders on Wednesday, surrendering a 1-0 lead after a strong first-half display before being overpowered in the second half.
The Gamecocks then followed it up with a 2-0 loss to neighbours Bulawayo Chiefs, where they were dominated for the large parts of the match.
The defeat left Ndiraya disappointed, but he remains confident his side will bounce back.
“We are Chicken Inn, we might be down, but not out. We will bounce back and defend the badge,” he said.
“Very disappointing defeat. It’s frustrating to lose again in a derby to our bitter rivals.

“We are failing to defend at critical moments. We have conceded very soft goals in these two matches and that is a concern.
“However, despite the defeats, you can see the understanding within the team. We need to regroup, organise ourselves and keep the players mentally strong,” he added.
After nine matches, Chicken Inn have recorded three wins, three draws and three defeats, sitting ninth on the table with 12 points.
