First-time exhibitors Oceans and Nourish Fields made a standout debut at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) 2026, showcasing an integrated business model linking human food production and livestock nutrition.

The two companies operate as complementary arms of one vision — Oceans supplying staple food products for households, while Nourish Fields produces stockfeed for farmers.

“Nourish Fields produces a full range of animal feed, while Oceans focuses on food products for human consumption,” said Kuitakwake Shoko, the companies’ stock manager.

Oceans specialises in mealie-meal, a household staple across Zimbabwe, while Nourish Fields manufactures feed products for cattle, poultry and other livestock.

Together, the businesses form a value chain connecting farming, food production and livelihoods through a model centred on quality, efficiency and sustainability.

Shoko said exhibiting at ZITF was a strategic move aimed at increasing brand visibility, attracting new partners and expanding market reach.

“We chose to participate in this year’s ZITF to showcase and market our products to a wider audience,” he said.

The companies also claimed one of the fair’s top honours after a beast raised on Nourish Fields stockfeed won the prestigious Champion Steer Award.

Shoko said the accolade validated the quality of their feed products and strengthened confidence in the group’s business model.

“It was a defining moment that positioned both Oceans and Nourish Fields as serious contenders in Zimbabwe’s agricultural and food production landscape,” he said.

Currently based in Bulawayo, the firms are targeting nationwide expansion, with plans to make their mealie-meal and stockfeed products available across Zimbabwe.

As Zimbabwe pushes to improve food security and agricultural productivity, Oceans and Nourish Fields are positioning themselves as a locally driven growth story built on integrated value chains.
