A Bulawayo woman has appeared in court after allegedly killing her 40-year-old husband during a dispute over a missing SIM card.

Sibonakaliso Ndlovu (37) appeared before the Bulawayo Magistrates’ Court facing a murder charge. She was not asked to plead and was remanded in custody to March 19.

Prosecutors allege that on March 4 this year, Ndlovu had a misunderstanding with her husband, Bekezela Dube, over a missing SIM card.

During the dispute, Ndlovu allegedly pushed Dube to the ground before striking him once below the left eye with a brick.

Dube died on the way to the clinic.

Before he died, Dube reportedly narrated the circumstances of the assault to other people, who reported to the police leading to Ndlovu’s arrest.
