An Indian travel company that participated in the 2025 Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo jetted into Victoria Falls over the weekend with a 14-member tourist group.
In a statement, the Tourism and Hospitality ministry said the visit organised by Isha Tours showed growing interest in Zimbabwe as a travel destination among Indian tourists.
“The fruits of the 2025 Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo are being witnessed as Isha Tours, an Indian travel company that attended the Expo in the Eastern Highlands, touches down in Victoria Falls with a 14-member tourist group, marking another encouraging step in strengthening tourism ties between Zimbabwe and the Indian market,” the ministry said.
According to the ministry, the tourists are travelling on a multi-country southern African itinerary and expressed excitement about experiencing Victoria Falls and the region’s rich cultural heritage.
“The group, on a multi-country southern African itinerary, was warmly welcomed by the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority in Victoria Falls and expressed great excitement about experiencing the region’s iconic attractions and vibrant culture,” the ministry added
The ministry also noted that the visit follows engagements between Isha Tours and Zimbabwe’s Tourism Attaché in India during Outbound Travel Mart 2026.

“The visit also follows successful engagements between Isha Tours and Zimbabwe’s Tourism Attaché in India during Outbound Travel Mart 2026, where Zimbabwe was showcased as a compelling destination,” the ministry added.
“Encouraged by the interest generated at these global travel platforms, Isha Tours is now actively positioning Zimbabwe as a new destination for Indian travellers, with plans already underway to bring more tourist groups to the country in the near future.”
The ministry said it was continuing to target emerging markets such as India through international tourism expos and travel trade engagements.
