IN a world where many are overwhelmed by uncertainty, some answers are still found in places guided by tradition and wisdom.
For dozens of families across Zimbabwe, that place has become the modest home of Gogo Chihoro, a respected traditional healer whose work continues to bring calm, clarity, and renewed direction to those who seek her counsel.
Soft-spoken and deeply rooted in ancestral practice, Gogo Chihoro says her role is not to change people’s lives, but to realign them.
“When a person is in harmony with their spirit, solutions follow naturally,” she explains.
A civil servant from Masvingo credits her guidance for saving his marriage. Years of constant conflict had pushed his family to the brink of separation.
After a traditional consultation and cleansing, communication slowly returned to his household.

In Hwange, a university student struggling with repeated academic failure said her visit to Gogo Chihoro helped remove what she felt was a spiritual blockage.
She was guided through a grounding ritual and given ancestral instructions to follow during exams.
That same semester, she passed all her courses. “I walked into the exam room calm for the first time,” she said. “That changed everything.”
A small-scale miner from Shurugwi also shared how unexplained losses had plagued his work for years.
After seeking guidance, he was advised to perform a cleansing at his site and change certain practices. Within weeks, operations stabilized. “I stopped fighting unseen battles,” he said. “Things finally made sense.”
Even health-related struggles have led people to her door.
A grandmother from Lupane said chronic nightmares and anxiety had robbed her of sleep for years.
After spiritual cleansing and herbal remedies, she now rests peacefully. “My nights are quiet again,” she said.
