A 27-YEAR-OLD Bulawayo man has appeared in court facing a charge of assault after he allegedly stabbed a 17-year-old student during a misunderstanding over a speaker repair.
Lesley Dlamini (27) appeared before Bulawayo regional magistrate Mark Dzira charged with assault.
He was remanded in custody to December 15.
The court was told that on September 1 at 3pm in Cowdray Park, the complainant, a 17-year-old juvenile student, was approached by Dlamini, who accused him of failing to repair a speaker that he had been given to fix.
A misunderstanding reportedly arose between the two and Dlamini allegedly pulled out a sharp object from his pocket and stabbed the teenager once on the left side of the neck.
The complainant sustained a deep wound and bled profusely from the injury.

The court heard that the complainant later sought medical attention, and the injury was confirmed by a doctor.
A police report was made, leading to the arrest of Dlamini after investigations.
