Patients and healthcare workers at Chirogwe Clinic in Chivi Central constituency are benefiting from improved infrastructure following the installation of a solar power system and the construction of additional toilets at the rural health facility.

The developments are expected to enhance service delivery, improve sanitation and provide a better working environment for health personnel serving Ward 17 and surrounding communities.

A nurse at Chirogwe clinic, Sister Patricia Chivasa,  welcomed the improvements, saying they had made a noticeable difference at the facility.

"We are grateful for the refurbishment of our clinic. The installation of solar power and the construction of additional toilets have greatly improved our working environment and the services we provide to the community," she said.

She thanked Chivi Central legislator Exevia Moses Maoneke for supporting the projects, saying the upgrades had addressed long-standing challenges faced by staff and patients.

"Reliable electricity means we can continue attending to patients even during power outages, while the new ablution facilities have improved hygiene and convenience for both healthcare workers and members of the public," she said.

Chirogwe clinic serves as a key healthcare facility for residents of Ward 17, providing primary healthcare services to hundreds of families.
