The National Business Excellence Awards will next month mark a decade of recognising businesses, entrepreneurs and professionals contributing to Zimbabwe’s economic and social development.
The 10th edition will be held at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) under the theme, “The Powerhouse of Our Nation Edition”, with organisers describing the event as a celebration of excellence across various sectors.
The awards will honour businesses and individuals making contributions to national development, including entrepreneurs, technology innovators, builders, educators, medical professionals, lawyers, farmers, car dealers and brand developers.
Musicians, pastors, churches and liberation heroes will also be recognised, reflecting what organisers said was the role played by different sections of society in creating an environment where businesses and communities can thrive.
“This decade, we honour the businesses and leaders driving Zimbabwe’s economy forward,” organisers said in a statement.
The nomination and selection process is being supported by a team of researchers working with organisations and individuals to identify businesses and personalities considered deserving of national recognition.

The awards come as Zimbabwe seeks to strengthen domestic enterprise, entrepreneurship and investment as part of efforts to drive economic growth and development.
Organisers said the 10th anniversary edition would celebrate both established companies and emerging enterprises for their contribution to the national economy.
The ceremony will feature a “Golden Carpet” dress code, with organisers billing the event as a gathering where “greatness meets greatness” and “power meets power.”
