The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has fined Hardrock FC and Dynamos US$10,000 each and ordered the remaining minutes of their abandoned Castle Lager Premier Soccer League match to be played behind closed doors at a neutral venue.

The sanctions follow crowd trouble that forced the abandonment of the Matchday 14 fixture at Chahwanda Stadium on May 24.

In a judgment released on today, the PSL Disciplinary Committee found both clubs guilty of causing the abandonment of the match, pitch invasion, acts of violence, improper conduct and disrupting the normal proceedings of the game.

Hardrock were also found guilty of failing to provide adequate security as the home team. Of the US$10,000 fine, US$2,000 was suspended for the remainder of the season on condition the club is not found guilty of a similar offence. The club was further ordered to play one home match behind closed doors and submit a revised Match Security Management Plan to the PSL chief executive officer within 30 days.

Dynamos were additionally found guilty of malicious damage to the perimeter fence at Chahwanda Stadium. The Harare giants were directed to submit a formal crowd management and stewarding plan within 30 days and file written reports after each away fixture for the remainder of the season outlining measures taken to manage their travelling supporters.

Meanwhile, Hardrock chief executive officer Kudzanai Hove was found guilty of disorderly conduct, pitch invasion and violent behaviour. He was suspended from all football-related activities for the remainder of the 2026 season and fined US$5,000.
