The Gishon Ntini-coached side has since found their footing and are fresh from a confidence boosting 1-0 triumph over Shabanie Mine in their previous league fixture while the army side is coming from an energy-sapping 4-1 defeat at the hands of Hwange in their last league encounter.
Chiredzi’s quest to tame Chapungu in their backyard is likely to be an insurmountable task with the host yet to taste defeat at Ascot Stadium their home venue.
“We are not worried about their form. We just want to win all our remaining matches, and see what happens at the end of the day.
“If we win all our remaining matches which I am positive we could achieve, then there is a chance of us surviving relegation at the end of the season,” Ntini said.
Chapungu head coach John Nyikadzino is, however, not underrating their weekend opponents and is anticipating a competitive match.
“We respect them just like any other team in the league. They have been playing well and want to continue winning, but we will be on the lookout to avoid that.
