This is the second meeting between the two sides in the league with their first tie having been played a fortnight ago, with the Rahman Gumbo Chiefs emerging winners beating Quelaton 1-0 at Luveve Stadium.

Chiefs are nine points clear of second-placed Black Boots at the top, with 37 points. They have lost only twice in the 15 matches played while their opponents are on fifth position with 25 points. The log leaders will be heading into the second half of the season without the services of lethal striker Gabriel Nyoni, recalled by Highlanders.

Third-placed Tsholotsho will be hoping to complete a double over ZPC Hwange when the two sides clash in Tsholotsho today. Black Boots will be out for nothing short of victory to keep pressure on the log leaders when they host struggling Bulawayo Jumbos, second from the bottom of log standings with 12 points, at Fairbridge.

The coal mining town of Hwange will host two clashes with Mpumalanga taking on New West and Hwange Juniors Technosphere to complete the mid-week games.
