The Health and Child Care ministry has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening Zimbabwe’s healthcare system following a Health Sector Technical Working Group meeting chaired by permanent secretary Aspect Maunganidze, yesterday, in Kadoma.
The Ministry said the meeting underscored the importance of collaboration in achieving national health priorities and ensuring that no Zimbabwean is left behind in accessing quality healthcare services.
Maunganidze stressed the need for accountability and strengthened partnerships in driving sustainable improvements in healthcare delivery.
“Bringing together key stakeholders to take stock of national progress and align ongoing efforts, Maunganidze highlighted the importance of coordination, accountability and collective action,” the ministry said.
The ministry added that fostering open dialogue among stakeholders is critical in identifying and addressing bottlenecks that may hinder the effective implementation of health programmes across the country.
“By fostering open dialogue on existing obstacles and streamlining partner initiatives, the meeting set a clear, unified direction towards building a stronger, healthier nation for all,” the ministry said.
Zimbabwe’s health sector has increasingly relied on collaborative approaches involving the government, development partners and healthcare institutions to improve service delivery and strengthen the resilience of the country’s healthcare systems .
