Zimbabwe bags silver at Bayern Youth Cup in Germany

ZIMBABWE’S Under-16 boys side made a strong impression at the FC Bayern Youth Cup World Final in Germany on Sunday, finishing runners-up after losing to China in the final.

Zimbabwe settled for second place ahead of powerhouses Germany, Argentina, the United States and South Korea.

The young Zimbabweans, coached by Highlanders assistant coach Mkhokheli Dube and legend Johannes Ngodzo, defied expectations to claim second place in the international tournament, which brought together youth teams from different countries, capping an impressive campaign with a silver-medal finish.
