RIO DE JANEIRO — Luis Felipe Scolari was on Wednesday officially unveiled as Brazil’s new manager, taking charge of the national team for the second time.

Scolari (64) won the World Cup with Brazil in 2002 and replaces Mario Menezes ahead of hosting the World Cup in 2014.

Carlos Alberto Parreira, who led Brazil to their fourth World Cup in 1994, was named as technical director.
