Murdered man found floating in river

Bulawayo provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Abednico Ncube said the identity of the male body was still unknown.

BY IRENE MOYO POLICE in Bulawayo are seeking assistance in identifying the body of suspected murder victim found floating in Phekiwe River near Mbudane and Nkulumane 10 suburbs in Bulawayo.

The body of the deceased was found on Friday by the police.

Bulawayo provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Abednico Ncube said the identity of the male body was still unknown.

“We appeal to the public to assist in issuing any information that will help identify a male adult who was found dead in a river. Anyone with information should contact the nearest police station,” Ncube said.

“The body of a male adult, which had reached advanced stage of decomposition, was found floating in the Phekiwe River. The body has a striped grey track bottom, facing upwards with mucus oozing from the nose.”

The body was taken to United Bulawayo Hospitals for postmortem.

Last month, another unidentified male was found dead on the roadside in Makokoba, Bulawayo.
