VICE-President Constantino Chiwenga will this Thursday join leading business executives, government ministries, heads of State-owned enterprises and other stakeholders at Alpha Media Holdings (AMH)’s inaugural Zimbabwe Investment Forum.

AMH publishes the leading business weekly, Zimbabwe Independent, daily paper NewsDay, Sunday weekly, The Standard, and online television Heart & Soul TV.

Thursday’s forum has been organised by the Zimbabwe Independent in partnership with Piggybank Advisor.

AMH chief executive officer Kenias Mafukidze said Chiwenga will be among the top delegates.

“As AMH we are excited that the government and the private sector are keen to come together to discuss the economy, and the whole market is excited,” he said.

The conference will run under the theme Sustainable Long Term Investment Options.

Other delegates expected include policymakers, parastatal executives, insurance firms, individuals, development finance institutions and financial service providers.

It will discuss issues such as improvement of public utilities and investment options, financial literacy, participation of individuals, local and global investment markets, parastatal reforms and corporate governance issues in the public sector, among others.

Stock market investment and personal finance issues will also be discussed.

Piggybank advisor, founder and chief executive officer Batanai Matsika said:  “The investment forum would be used as a platform to educate and showcase some of the investment products being developed such as the Exchange Traded Funds and the Real Estate Investment Trust.”
