CCC vice president Tendai Biti said he was shocked with the Deputy prosecutor general Michael Reza prosecuting an verbally assault saying is not objective.

Biti further told court that Reza likes to prosecute opposition political accused persons.

The opposition vice president said this while applying for a referral to Constitutional court of his case saying his right were being violated by the court.

In his application Biti said the prosecution must not disclose or show that he was capable of supporting the other party

“Im shocked why a senior prosecutor like Reza would want to prosecute an assault matter, the State should not show that it is captured by any individual including the complainant.

” The prosecutor is behaving as if he is a hired gun or captured which is not allowed by the constitution” he said.

Biti first blamed Zanu PF Politburo member Patrick Chinamasa whom he accused of causing his arrest through a press conference.

After blaming Chinamasa he then turned on the Herald, and the permanent secretary in the Ministry of Information and publicity, Nick Mangwana for  giving the nation a wrong narrative of his assault case.
