BY WINSTONE ANTONIO NINTEEN-year-old basketball player Kee-Vonne Hunda is set to take on her next challenge off the courtyard in the modelling industry.

Hunda, who on three occasions, represented Harare in the provincial basketball team, has been proclaimed the Miss Teen International Zimbabwe 2022 queen.

The talented Hunda, who is also a law student, takes over the crown from Miss Teen International Zimbabwe 2021, Dedre Niewoudt.

In this new territory, Hunda will represent the country at this year’s edition of Miss Teen International scheduled from July 22 to July 30 in New Delhi, India.

Miss Teen International Zimbabwe country director Patience Muzanenhamo-Lusengo said the talented teen was a first-year pre-law student at Louisiana State University in the United States, majoring in political science and digital advertising.

“Hunda has shown consistency and has proven that she is not only passionate about her community, but wants to make a difference in the community,” she said.

“As an active member in her community from 2014 to 2017, Kee-Vonne started donating her pocket money to Chikurubi female prisoners incarcerated with their children,” said Muzanenhamo-Lusengo calling on Zimbabweans to come together and support her as she represents the country.

“There is no doubt that Kee-Vonne’s goal is to use such platforms, leadership skills and intelligence to carry out her philanthropic works to improve her community and the world at large”

Miss Teen International Zim seeks to empower young Zimbabwean women to be positive role models in their communities.

“It is through this pageant that we choose to open doors and create opportunities for young women,” she added.
