BY MPUMELELO MOYO LOCAL make-up enthusiasts have something new to smile about following the launch of NanaCoco, an American make-up brand on Sunday.

NanaCoco products are largely found in countries like France, Italy, Korea and Thailand.

The NanaCoco launch at FazakAfrica in Selbourne Park, Bulawayo, comes barely a few weeks after another new product by Barbadian singer, Rihanna’s Fenty cosmetics was also unveiled in the country.

FazakAfrica head of marketing Kylie Mazura said NanaCoco would be partnering Miss Teen Universe Trust as its official sponsor to do make-up for all their contestants.

“We are happy to have officially launched NanaCoco. It is being introduced in Zimbabwe for the first time. We are grateful that we got the opportunity to debut an international brand of such high calibre as far as cosmetics go,” she said.

Speaking at the same event, make-up artist Praiseworthy Ncube said NanaCoco was essential for women to take care of their skin with or without make-up.

“As ladies, sometimes we neglect our skin believing that the foundation will cover it, but that is a mistake. One has to moisturise and exfoliate the dead skin. Keep it hydrated always and make up becomes a plus on already well looked after skin,” she said.

At the launch, men also got tips on grooming and skin care routine.

“It is necessary for men to also groom their skin and always look presentable and healthy,” said Mr School of Mines model, Darlington Wellington.

The launch was attended by socialites, models and high-profile people such as EcoBank manager Tayesa Banda, radio host Master Eli, Miss Teen International first runner-up Agnes Mwale, and former Miss Zimbabwe Samantha Tshuma.
