Pasinawako bounces back

Pasinawako, popularly known for her Ndinzverei and Ndomutenda sei tracks, yesterday told Newsday Life & Style that she is also currently working on a live DVD which she hopes to launch end of July if all goes well and has encouraged fans to come in their numbers for the launch.

GOSPEL diva Bethany Pasinawako Ngolomi is making a comeback and has promised her fans a new album and a number of tours.

Pasinawako, popularly known for her Ndinzverei and Ndomutenda sei tracks, yesterday told Newsday Life & Style that she is also currently working on a live DVD which she hopes to launch end of July if all goes well and has encouraged fans to come in their numbers for the launch.

“My album for this year is going to be released around October if all goes well,” she said.

“I am currently coming from my maiden tour which was held in South Africa. It was a month-long and I ministered in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria. I will also be back in South Africa in June and will be sharing the stage with Mkhululi Bhebe from Joyous Celebration and Minister Tsoka. I will also minister in Durban the next weekend before I return for my live DVD release,” she added.

The musician, who is also into fish and pig farming, said she has also done two collaborations with dancehall singer Tocky Vibes.

Pasinawako started her singing career at the age of 16 and has released three albums Ndinzverei, Aripo and Anesu Jesu.

Commenting on the current state of the gospel industry, she said: “Gospel music needs more exposure as the sound is changing. We also need to up our game, stage work, sound and also social media handles have to  be top notch.”

The gospel diva has also done some notable collaborations with other gospel musicians such as Mathias Mhere in the song Matables,
