BY NUNURAI JENA Former Ngezi Platinum Stars and Chapungu coach Rodwell Dhlakama has been appointed ZPC Kariba head coach following the sacking of Godfrey Tamirepi earlier this week.

Tamirepi was demoted to a lower division team which is also funded by the power utility after a string of poor results which has seen the Kariba side sit in the drop zone.

Under Tamirepi’s watch, ZPC Kariba managed just two wins from their 13 matches in the campaign so far while losing seven and have 10 points to their name.

Tamirepi has since been reassigned to Munyati Tigers in the Central Region Division One League.

In a statement, Zimbabwe Power Company confirmed Dhlakama’s appointment and the reassignment of Tamirepi.

“In the interim, former Ngezi FC head coach, Rodwell Dhlakama will be in charge of the ZPC Kariba FC until further notice.  We wish him well in his new assignment” ZPC wrote.

Dhlakama had a stint with Caps United, Chapungu FC, Monomotapa, Shooting Stars and Green Mambas and Manzini Sundowns in Eswatini.
