A-FOUR year old child died today while 24 others were injured when a Zupco commuter omnibus collided with a truck along Khami Road in Bulawayo near the Nkulumane Shopping complex.
Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed the accident.
“An open truck crashed against a Zupco kombi which rolled over several times before hitting another kombi that was on the road leading to the injury of 24 passengers. One child aged four died along the way to hospital. All the injured were taken to hospital. One of the victims is in a critical condition,” Ncube said.
He said investigations are underway to establish the cause of the accident.
