BY TAWANDA TAFIRENYIKA HARARE football giants Dynamos have all but secured their target forward King Nadolo ahead of the close of the transfer window on March 31.
The Tel One attacker had attracted several suitors among them bitter city rivals Caps United. Caps United had hoped to plunge back into the market to bolster their squad and Nadolo had emerged as their main target.
However, with negotiations between the two parties breaking down last week after Caps United failed to meet the high demands by Tel One, the Green Machine decided to pull out of the deal.
That eventually left Dynamos who are bankrolled by energy giant Sakunda Holdings uncontested in the pursuit of the forward. And Nadolo revealed to NewsDay Sport yesterday the deal to reunite with Dynamos was “as good as done.”
“Yes I am now joining Dynamos. Caps wanted me but the negotiations didn’t come out well and am now joining Dynamos. Everything else is done and what is left is just to tie some loose ends of the deal. Its as good as done. I am looking forward to a fruitful season with Dynamos,” he said.
Dynamos coach Tonderai Ndiraya last week told reporters during a news conference that they would try hard to bring the midfielder.
“I’m happy. We have been building our team over some time. Of course, I will not talk about 2019 and 2020. In 2021 we tried but because of the resources we couldn’t really bring the quality that we wanted.
“In 2022, we got a partner (Sakunda Holdings) who injected some cash into our system. Of course, that really gave us some space to bring in more quality players.

“I can safely say that we now have some quality but of course we are still working on King Nadolo. I think there have been negotiations going on for King to come back and the management is taking care of that.”
Nadolo had been linked with a move to a Georgian side in Europe. He was reported to have joined Georgia Ligue 2 side FC Maram Tbilis several months ago
He had a stellar season In 2019, Nadolo after signing for TelOne in mid season and made an immediate impact contributing vital goals and assists. He won the Football Union of Zimbabwe footballer of the month for November. Despite playing half the season, he finished third in the Golden Boot race with 11 goals three behind winner Clive Augusto.
