TWO Harare men were today arraigned before Harare magistrate Yeukai Dzuda facing allegations of robbing a Harare City Council municipal police officer of US$85 and cellphone.
Farai Kashongo (35) and Robert Mpala (30) were remanded in custody until tomorrow for bail ruling.
It is alleged that on March 4 around 1500 hours at Montagu Shopping Centre in Harare, the accused persons connived with nine other accomplices that are still at large and assaulted the municipal officer.
They took his US$85, Samsung cell phone and his handcuffs.
The matter was reported and the accused persons were arrested.
