BY MAGRETH RUZVIDZO THE Premier Netball League (PNL) will host a pre-season tournament today to help teams prepare for the commencement of the season.
More than 20 teams are set to participate in the tourney, which will be hosted at Stodart Netball Complex in Mbare, Harare.
PNL secretary-general Liberty Mhizha said they were ready to host the pre-season extravaganza.
“Games are going to be played on the 26th (today) and the preparations are at an advanced stage,” Mhizha said.
“This tournament will gauge the level of preparedness of teams and improve in areas where there is need.”
“All PNL teams are invited and any club interested as we extended the invite to Zina-affiliated clubs.
Prizes for the winning teams are there and we are working on getting more,” he said.
The tournament will precede the commencement of the PNL season which is slated for March 12 if all goes according to plan.
