BY PRIDE MZARABANI A 29 year old Harare man was yesterday convicted of unlawful possession of dangerous drugs.
Edward Foya (29) appeared before Magistrate Nyasha Vhitorini who found him guilty of the charges.
Foya was ordered to pay a fine of $5 000 or spend two months in Prison. The Exhibit was forfeited to the state.
Allegations are that, on February 14, 2022 and at house number Road, Hatfield Harare, Foya was caught in possession of 0,066 kilogrammes of dagga.
He was also found in possession of 20 x 100ml bottles of Brencleer cough Syrup which contains Codeine phosphate 10mg/ 5 mls which is above the regulated 5mg/5mls in liquid form, Diphenhydramine HCL 12, 5mg/5mls, Ammonium Chloride 125mgs/5mls and Sodium Citrate 50mg/5mls which are not registered by the regulating Authority.
