PROMINENT gospel musician Trymore Bande (35) today appeared before Harare magistrate Yeukai Dzuda facing a car theft charge.

Dzuda remanded him out of custody to March 7 for trial date.

It is alleged that in June 2021, Bande disappeared with a Mercedes Benz C230 belonging to Dzidzai Moffat and later sold it.

Moffat had tasked Bigboy Nyarisambo to sell it on his behalf.

Bande allegedly expressed interest in the car and took it on a test drive before vanishing from the scene.

Moffat then reported the matter at Zengeza Police Station, leading to Bande’s arrest after he had sold the vehicle to Misheck Mavunga.

Lynnet Gwarisa represented the State.
