February is considered as the month of love as people gets to celebrate Valentine’s Day (February 14) a day associated with exchange of gifts by lovers.

BY NKOSENTSHA KHUMALO BULAWAYO-BASED musician Nqobile “Poly Da Nqoe” Dube has released a new album titled Uthando as a way of celebrating love to be launched on February 12 at Isilwane Youth Centre in Pumula.

February is considered as the month of love as people gets to celebrate Valentine’s Day (February 14) a day associated with exchange of gifts by lovers.

Poly Da Nqoe who is also a music producer told NewsDay Life & Style, that he was looking forward to a successful launch where he will connect with fans and those who will be participating in the Pumula Royal Arts Community Awards (PRACAs).

“February is a month of love, the theming and launching of the album Uthando is meant to create a romantic atmosphere, and also spread love for lovebirds as they are headed towards celebrating Valentine’s Day,” he said.

“Before the launch, there will be a listening session on February 10 at Mpopoma and audiences are to pay an entry fee of US$2.”

The executive director for Home of Arts Entertainment (HAE) and PRACAs, Happy Mpofu said PRACAs aim at providing support to up-and-coming artists and making sure that they grow in the arts industry.

“We saw the launching of an album by Poly da Nqoe as a great opportunity for him, as it is part of our objectives to help growing artistes with events especially when it comes to launches. The platform we are giving him will help to provide space for him to reach a wider audience through PRACAs,” Mpofu said.
