By SIMBARASHE SITHOLE A 22-YEAR-OLD Shamva man is battling for life after he was allegedly struck with an iron bar by a fellow villager following a misunderstanding.
Cosmas Kadende is facing attempted murder charges after he allegedly struck Confidence Kajamba with an iron bar on Saturday.
The incident happened in Shingai village, Shamva, under Chief Bushu.
Kajamba is admitted at Shamva District Hospital.
Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Inspector Milton Mundembe said they had launched a manhunt for Kadende.
Allegations are that Kajamba was in the company of other young men when Kadende accused him of being a bully.
A misunderstanding ensued and Kadende picked an iron bar and struck Kajamba once on the head.
He fell down and sustained a deep cut before being rushed to hospital.

“We are appealing for information which can lead to the arrest of Kadende. Anyone with information can report to the nearest police station,” Mundembe said.
