In an interview with NewsDay Life & Style, Nyakatawa said they were geared to transforming the arts industry through offering audio-visual media solutions in the arts sector.

BY TENDAI SAUTA PREMIER Sound Solutions director Tanyaradzwa Nyakatawa said the music industry had the most career opportunities which are closely linked to the arts industry and mainstream economy.

In an interview with NewsDay Life & Style, Nyakatawa said they were geared to transforming the arts industry through offering audio-visual media solutions in the arts sector.

“Premier Sounds Solutions started 10 years ago as a sound rental company and has over the years grown to offer resilience solutions such as premier audio-sound systems which range from simple to mega public address systems,” he said.

“Apart from public address systems, we also sell musical instruments. It is an office of broad services such as installations in conference rooms, lecture halls and open and closed areas.”

Nyakatawa added: “We have Premier Kids for children’s entertainment while Premier Studio caters for the music and recording arts industry.

“Arts is a highly entrepreneurial industry which requires tenacity and intuition.

“Careers in support of the musical arts industry include and are not limited to teaching, sound engineering, performance, music instrument manufacturing and others.”

He said the opening of the creative space that had been affected by COVID-19-induced lockdowns which banned live performances was a welcome move.

“We are excited about this move as this will sustain our livelihoods since we are now able to do COVID-19 compliant shows and events.

“As a service provider we have prepared to serve our customers and have improved our products and services in line with the set World Health Organisation COVID-19 preventive strategies,” he said.

Nyakatawa said they recently opened a new base in Mt Pleasant, Harare, whereby they established the Premier Audio-Visual Village which offers a wide range of services from visual and audio services to refreshments in a relaxed environment.

“We are now a one-stop shop media company offering both audio and visual services for absolute customer satisfaction and we appreciate the support that we have been receiving from our loyal clients, who have stood by us since day one who include non-governmental organisations, government departments, corporates, venue owners, families and individuals,” he said.
