OVER 100 exhibitors are expected to participate at the Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo scheduled for tomorrow up to Friday, with more than 60 buyers already registered for the event which will be held virtually.

This was revealed by Zimbabwe Tourism Authority spokesperson Godfrey “Chief” Koti in a statement yesterday.

“The virtual exhibition will run from 27–29 October 2021,” the statement read.

“The exhibitor and buyer registrations are now open, and the matchmaking diary opened on October 15. To date over 100 exhibitors and over 60 buyers have already registered on the virtual system,” he said.

The Sanganai/Hlanganani World Tourism Expo provides tourism stakeholders with a platform to engage international and regional source markets.

“This year’s edition of the expo will be hosted virtually over 3 days allowing industry professionals and international travel buyers to interact on this platform without the need to worry about physical barriers,” Koti said.

He said the conference would include live HD video conferencing, virtual auditorium for interactive and topical webinar sessions and 3D virtual exhibitor booths.

“It was prudent to enhance features of the platform so as to remain competitive and to keep abreast with international virtual platforms and standards. The platform has become more user friendly, and participants can now schedule meetings using their respective time zones.”
