A BINDURA man, Munyaradzi Njanji (23) is battling for life at a local hospital after he was allegedly assaulted by his girlfriend’s four brothers.

The girlfriend’s brothers were arrested and are facing attempted murder charges.

Mashonaland Central police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Naison Dhliwayo yesterday confirmed the arrest.

“I can confirm an attempted murder case where we have managed two arrests of the four brothers, Simbarashe and Tafadzwa Shereni, who heavily assaulted Njanji after they caught him pants down with their sister,” Dhliwayo said.

“We have four suspects from the Shereni family, Tinashe, Lloyd, Simbarashe and Tafadzwa, and we are still looking for Tinashe and Lloyd,” Dhliwayo said.

It is further alleged that Njanji’s wife received a tip-off that her husband was in bed with Fungai Shereni.

Njanji’s wife then went to inform Fungai’s brothers who came armed with logs.

They broke into the house and caught the pair being intimate and assaulted Njanji and left him unconscious.

Njanji was rushed to Bindura Hospital by his girlfriend where he is battling for life.
