LOCAL comedienne and actress Tarisai Tyra “Madam Boss” Chikocho has revealed that she almost cried after popular South African actor and choreographer Somizi Buyani Mhlongo shared her video on his social media platform, Instagram recently.

Madam Boss who is now under Becky Casting Agency’s management (international) told NewsDay Life & Style that she could not believe that a popular star like Somizi could recognise her.

“I was so overwhelmed when Somizi posted my video on his Instagram account, I almost cried. People like him are rare to meet, even if you meet him, you won’t get any opportunity to speak to him,” she said.

“Somizi has a huge following on social media so it is a great opportunity to be recognised in South Africa. I love Somizi because he is a comedian and he is funny, I believe that by posting my video he has opened gates for me to continue to shine in South Africa.”

She said her Becky Casting Agency was doing a lot for her that will result in her spreading wings to Hollywood and feature on Netflix.

Becky Casting Agency founder Bekezela “Becky” Dube said she is proud of Madam Boss’s works adding that she creates a good reputation and identity for the company.

“My job is all about uplifting talented people as they get more famous, I get famous too on my way. Somizi shared one of her videos, which means her talent is recognised by celebrities,” she said.

“This is actually a very good gesture and an easy way for her (Madam Boss) to be fully recognised in South Africa as a celebrity or someone who can be hired on events for an appearance.”
