By Sports Reporter

HEART And Soul TV has been awarded the rights to broadcast the Group Three Chibuku Super Cup matches that will be taking place at Mutare’s Sakubva Stadium over the next six weeks.

The station, a subsidiary of Alpha Media Holdings — publishers of NewsDay, Zimbabwe Independent, The Standard and Southern Eye — will livestream the round robin matches on its Facebook page and YouTube channel, HSTVLIVEZIM, while there will be live updates on its Twitter page.

The six matches will involve Manica Diamonds, Tenax, Black Rhinos and Cranborne Bullets, who will all play each other twice in the mini-league with the winners progressing to the quarter-finals of the country’s premier cup competition.

HStv general manager Olga Muteiwa applauded the Premier Soccer League for embracing digital platforms to reach out to their audiences.

“We congratulate the Premier Soccer League (PSL) for their agility and speed in embracing the digital platforms as the most effective route to bring national football back into Zimbabwean homes, whilst still adhering to the COVID-19 restrictions,” she said.

Heart & Soul Broadcasting Services is excited to have been awarded the production and broadcasting rights to the Zimbabwe PSL Chibuku Super Cup Group 3 mini-league football matches to be held at Sakubva Stadium in Mutare.

“This deal will help us propel our goal of being Zimbabwe’s innovative, creative and positive brand ambassadors.

“We are livestreaming the games on our digital platforms (Facebook Heart&Soul Zim & YouTube Channel @HSTVLIVEZIM.”

PSL spokesperson Kudzai Bare said: “We are excited to be partnering Heart and Soul as one of our broadcasting partnership especially now at a time when we will be having no fans at the stadia.

“It means that our most important stakeholder, the fans, will not be left out but can now catch all the Chibuku Super Cup action live from their homes or wherever they may be.

“We are looking forward to a successful mutually beneficial partnership.”

The first match will feature Tenax vs Black Rhinos at 3pm tomorrow before Manica Diamonds take on top-flight newboys Cranborne Bullets on Sunday at the same kick-off time.
