PLUMTREE- BASED artiste manager and events promoter Handsome “Handy” Sibanda has embarked on a project themed Vuka Plumtree meant to promote up and coming artistes.

In an interview with News Day Life & Style, Handy said the project will kick start with a song that will feature 12 Plumtree artistes and produced by Vic Fallz and Ace Kater

“I have realised that there are many artistes in Plumtree who need to be assisted and I decided to bring them together on a song for their town that I hope will help to market them and the place as well,” he said.

“It is the marginalisation of our artistes that inspired me to come up with this project so as to make their brands known out there. I love my town so I will try to market it as possible on and off social media, hopeful this project will bring a positive impact to their lives.”

Handy said he will do more projects in the future with different other artistes.

“The song we are producing will feature artistes such as Bif Skuad, Tsibi, RS, Ice Eazy, Demore Rose,Thabo, TWT, MG87, Teekay Mxoexic, Croft-BRKAY, Dolly K and Babongile Sibanda expected to drop on May 22,” he said.

“I am hoping that we will shoot a video for the song because it is a huge project that I would love to see through. I hope the song will teach other artistes that unity is the key to success.”

He said due to COVID- 19, the artists could not meet for recordings, but resorted to online to complete their project.

“I have selected the artistes I know and have worked with so they will record in their various studios and send through the vocals to the producer who will mix and master,” he said.

Handy has worked with many artists among them South African actors such as Lucy and Cosmo from Generations.
