Former Dynamos Football Club legend Itai Stanley Chirambadare appeared in court today facing sodomy charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted a student at his football academy.

Chirambadare who is represented by Knowledge Maeresera was remanded in custody to May 13 pending trial.

The Dynamos legend was advised by magistrate Dennis Mangosi to apply for bail at the High Court.

Allegations are that sometime in March this year, the complainant who is 13 years went to Chirambadare’s house together with his friend to sweep as he always do and they would be given sweets.

It is alleged that on the day in question the complainant went to Chirambadare’s house alone to sweep.

The accused person allegedly asked the complainant to get into the house before he forced him into his bedroom and sexually assaulted him and told him not to reveal the abuse.

Chirambadare allegedly threatened to to kill the complainant if he revealed the abuse to anyone.

He went onto abuse the complainant on several occasions.

The complainant allegedly developed some piles and he told his uncle.

The complainant’s uncle led him to the police station to report the matter.
