BY DONALD NYANDORO Zimbabwe’s largest commercial bank, CBZ has introduced zero data rating on its CBZ Touch mobile app in a move meant to drive financial inclusion to all members of the society.

CBZ director for retail banking, Mrs Dedrey Mutimutema said clients using Econet lines can access the mobile application at no data costs.

“CBZ is covering the data on behalf of its clients,” she said.

The move is a lead step towards supporting the government and Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe’s (RBZ) financial inclusion strategies.

“We service all the segments of the market from the from the low income earners to the high net worth clients in our communities.

“We want everyone to access the bank on their fingertips,” Mutimutema said.

The move is also in line with Covid 19 regulations were branches need to be decongested to avoid the spread of the virus as clients can access banking services remotely.

CBZ is moving with technology as it also launched some innovative products such as the recently developed CBZ Pay which is a virtual Visa card and Visa card for students which can be used by international students to pay to pay fees.

CBZ is in a journey driven by its passion to offer customer convenience and customer satisfaction through its products.
