BINGA-BASED gospel singer Eunice Munga says she is optimistic that her second album titled Chinangwa (The Purpose) will catapult her to stardom after her first album failed to make an impact on the showbiz scene.

Munga, who launched her music career in 2019, told NewsDay Life & Style that her dream was to record at a tender age, but failed due to financial challenges.

“I developed interest in music at a tender age and started singing in many pentecostal groups and sang to different places like Zambezi, Tobwe, Manseme, Manyanda, Gaza, Siansundu in Binga and on other public community gatherings,” she said.

“I believe that where there is a vision, there is a provision as well, so I kept on practising with different groups and individuals until a chance of recording came. My first album Leza Wamabambe (God’s Plans), released in 2019, failed to reach the masses, but my second one is performing better.”

Munga said her second album was recorded with the help of her brothers.

“Through the inspiration of wa-Chulwa’s music and video filming, I have better plans and aims for my music. My aim now is to do videos and collaboration with wa-Chulwa,” she said.

“As one of the female artistes from Binga, I want to encourage other female musicians to rise and excel in this industry.”
