BY RICHARD MUPONDE Prominent Zimbabwean wholesaler Mohamed Mussa has died. The business tycoon reportedly died in the morning due to an undisclosed ailment.

Mussa’s family confirmed his demise in a statement and called for prayers. “It is with sadness that we announce the passing away of our beloved father, Mohamed Mussa from this temporary life to the real life of the here-after,” the family said in a statement.

“Death was written and everything else is just an excuse. We should always be happy with the decree of Allah Ta’ala. May Allah Ta’ala forgive the deceased and raise his status. We request that one and all make dua for him and do isaale thawaab as that is what will benefit the deceased.”

The cause of his death could not be established, but those close to the family said he could have died of old age. Mussa was the director and founder of the MM Group, which encompasses a wholesale, electrical, home centre, hardware and LP gas retail. He was the father of former Warriors team manager, Sharif Mussa.
