CHIEF Fortune Charumbira’s wife, Priscilla, was yesterday granted $40 000 bail when she appeared Harare regional magistrate Bianca Makwande on corruption charges involving council land where she is the city planner.

As part of her bail conditions, she was ordered not to visit her workplace or any City of Harare premises for a month and to continue residing at her given address, report once at Highlands Police Station and not to interfere with State witness.

The State alleges that she unlawfully supervised the approval of change of use plan for State land without seeking approval of her superiors.

The matter was remanded to November 28.
