The deceased, Agatha Sigudu’s body was discovered by her nephew on Friday morning in a kitchen hut.

Mashonaland East acting police spokesperson, Assistant Inspector Misheck Denhere said Sigudu’s body had a deep cut on the ear.

According to the police, Sigudu’s nephew Felix Mashanga (53) went to visit her.

He peeped through her bedroom window and saw clothes scattered in the room. He then went to the kitchen and found the deceased’s body lying on the floor with blood stains. The deceased’s mobile phone was missing.

The matter was reported to the police and the deceased’s body was taken to Chivhu General Hospital for post-mortem.

In a related case, a woman in her mid-30s, who is yet to be identified, was allegedly killed and dumped in a stream, which is between Chivhu town and the high-density area.

The deceased’s body, which had bruises and blood oozing from the ear, was found by a passer-by on Thursday. Police said investigations on the matter were still underway.
