Alice Jarison (27) was not asked to plead when she appeared before magistrate Barbara Mateko, who remanded her in custody to July 16 pending indictment to the High Court.

It is the State’s case that on Sunday morning, Jarison was drinking beer in Mabvuku with Charity Diamond Wiseman.

The court heard that a misunderstanding ensued over a mobile phone SIM card and Jarison pushed Wiseman onto the ground.

Wiseman was ferried to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.

Sebastian Mutizirwa appeared for the State.
