The Industry and Commerce ministry, in collaboration with Alpha Media Holdings, will on Monday conduct a breakfast indaba intended to give information on the state of industry in the country.

“The meeting will be a platform for the private sector to give the state of industry. Honourable Minister of Industry and Commerce, Nqobizitha Ndlovu, will also give an update on the Zimbabwe National Industry Development Policy (ZNIDP 2019-2023) and local content. The minister shall share insights on the strategies that are in place to ensure an enabling environment for industrial growth,” the ministry said in a statement yesterday.

The indaba is set to take place at Rainbow Towers.

ZNIDP is a recently launched government policy which is expected to positively transform the economy through value-addition, increasing employment levels and promoting a culture of savings.

Several stakeholders drawn from the industry sector and academia are expected to attend the indaba.
