CHAMPIONSHIP- chasing Chicken Inn are in discussion with Zifa Central Region Division One side Dulivhadzimu United to sign striker Benedict Sithole in anticipation of the departure of their top marksman Clive Augusto.

The league’s top goal scorer Augusto, with 13 league goals in 15 matches, has been linked with moves to South Africa, and it appears Chicken Inn are preparing for life without their top striker.

Attacking midfielder Brett Amidu is also set to move to Egyptian side Zamalek.

Sithole (23), has been training with Chicken Inn and indications are that he has impressed coach Joey Antipas.

The young striker has seven goals in 16 games for his club.

Chicken Inn secretary Tavengwa Hara yesterday confirmed Sithole is a Gamecocks’ target.

Dulivhadzimu chairman Ephart Shoko also confirmed that negotiations between Dulivhadzimu and Chicken Inn are in progress.

“We have been in negotiations with Chicken Inn, but we are yet to reach an agreement. We have told them what to do and we are waiting to hear from them,” Shoko said.

Chicken Inn has four slots that need to be filled after they released veteran striker Obadiah Tarumbwa to Zifa Southern Region Division One side Talen Vision; King Nasama on a six-month loan to ZPC Kariba; and Amidu, while Nicole Mutatiwa could be de-registered because of an injury.
