AWARD-WINNING gospel musician Admire Nago is giving away around 1 000 CD copies of his singles — Fambai Naye and Vhurai Meso Angu — which were released recently. The singles will be distributed in the Midlands and Masvingo provinces.
Nago told NewsDay Life & Style that distribution of CD copies of the songs produced by the Mutare-based Kunashe Studios had already begun in Zvishavane under an initiative dubbed Operation Fambai Naye.
“Fambai Naye is one of the tracks, which is a Sungura just like Wandigadza. We are giving away to people in Zvishavane, Mberengwa, Chivi, Gweru, Shurugwi and Masvingo under a programme named Operation Fambai Naye. We have already started distributing in Zvishavane,” he said.
“It’s also a special way to say thank you to fans who have been supporting my music since I began my career. Charity begins at home. It’s not like we have profited much in the past three years, but with the little we have, we decided to give back to the community.”
Nago said because fans have already fallen in love with the new songs he was planning to release music videos next month.
The musician released his debut album, Tariro in 2016, and the second, Nhovo, in 2018.
