GOSPEL sensation Loice Jori has made a comeback with a single track titled Jesu Anonzwa after a 14-year hiatus, having released her debut 2005 album titled Mwari Vanogona.

The former Adonai College principal told NewsDay Life & Style that she was expecting to release a full album in November and has returned to the music scene to minister through song.

“I produced my first album in 2005 before relocating to Namibia and we didn’t have the chance to market the album. I was a principal at Adonai College in Namibia, so I had a passion for music and now I am back full time to do music and I will use my talent to minister the word of God through music,” she said.

“I did the song with my sister Faith, who is also a singer, and the song is beginning to draw positive responses from our fans.”

Jori said she drew inspiration from gospel diva Fungisai Zvakavapano-Mashavave, who she started to listen to during her college days.

“I am trying to focus on my music and to reach out to the international market. I am happy that my family and parents have always been supportive and Fungisai Zvakavapano inspired me a lot in my musical journey. I look forward to reach her standards and to set my own,” she said.

The 33-year-old musician said she was in music to minister the word of God, attributing her success to help from her church leaders at Throne of Peace as well as her family.
