SOUTH Africa-based gospel musician Togarepi Chivaviro is set to shoot a video for the song, Excellent, in seven cities as he seeks to honour his fans scattered around the globe.

The video, a title track off his latest album, will be shot in Gaborone, Dubai, Manchester, Birmingham, Maputo, Cape Town and Harare.

The award-winning musician said he was trying something fresh and different, hence the planned “globe-trot” shoot.

“We are trying something fresh. We have already done a video for the song Hamupererwe and we have five more songs to be worked on. Our main focus is on the song Excellent itself, which we are trying to bring out the excellence aspect. For now, we are taking our time before we release a full video album in August,” he said.

“We have done video albums for all our last five consecutive albums, with the album Matishamisa being shot in three cities. These different set-ups make our videos different from each other. We also try to involve our music family as much as we can.”

The shooting is expected to begin next week.

Chivaviro’s latest album is currently doing well on Coca Cola Top 20 charts since its release a few months ago.

The last video album was shot in Midrand, Harare and Durban, with a number of the musician’s fans featuring on all of the video songs.
