A 28-YEAR-OLD Gokwe artisanal miner escaped mob justice in Glendale on Saturday afternoon after he allegedly stabbed his colleague with a knife in a love triangle case. Talent Kasona of Mashame in Gokwe was rescued by the police from the mob after stabbing Henry Zambezi (28).

A 28-YEAR-OLD Gokwe artisanal miner escaped mob justice in Glendale on Saturday afternoon after he allegedly stabbed his colleague with a knife in a love triangle case. Talent Kasona of Mashame in Gokwe was rescued by the police from the mob after stabbing Henry Zambezi (28).

Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Inspector Milton Mundembe confirmed the incident.

“We are investigating an attempted murder case that occurred in Glendale on Saturday where a male adult reportedly pulled an okapi knife and stabbed his college once on the chest over a girlfriend,” Mundembe said.

Eyewitnesses allegedly pounced on Kusona shouting “murderer, murderer” and beat him up until the police intervened.

Zambezi was rushed to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals, where he is in critical condition, while Kusona was taken to Concession District Hospital for treatment.

He was discharged and taken to Glendale Police Station.
